Maria Margarida — Graphic Designer
I’ve been working at OpenTable since September 2015 as the UK Lead Communication Designer, working closely with the Marketing team and providing visual solutions for their communications. I work with both sides of the OpenTable business: B2C (consumer, diners) and B2B (restaurants).
I’m eager to explore new ideas and solutions, and help the OpenTable brand grow and gain recognition in the UK. I’ve worked closely with external creatives (mainly illustrators), doing art direction for some of OpenTable’s campaigns.
On November 2016 I’ve finished the UX Design course at the General Assembly, and I’m now also collaborating with the Consumer Web team, as a Junior UX Designer.
Before joining OpenTable I’ve worked 3.5 years at Warm&Fuzzy, a design studio with offices in Derby and London, working across multiple projects (print and digital) and dealing with a wide range of clients and industries. Prior to this role, I worked as a freelance graphic designer for Guimarães European Capital of Culture 2012, producing a wide range of materials, from print to digital.
I have an MA in Graphic Branding and Identity at the London College of Communication (University of the Arts London), and I’m also a founder member of CAAA – Centre for Arts and Architecture Affairs (in Guimarães, Portugal), a nonprofit cultural institution whose mission is to support and encourage artistic creation and application of new methods of production. I designed all CAAA’s identity and I’m their lead designer.
